Best Feature Film Score nomination for “Somewhere Confidential"
The orchestral-jazz score for Casey Siegel’s detective-stoner-noir comedy, “Somewhere Confidential,”has been nominated for Best Score in a Feature Film by the Always Late TV Movie Awards. In the vein of Elmer Bernstein’s legendary score for “Airplane!” - with a dash of Laurie Johson’s music from the 1960’s “Avengers”series, and a touch of BBC Radiophonic Workshop - the music is elevated by wonderful performances from Adam Dib (saxophones), Michael VanBodegom-Smith (trumpets and fluegelhorn), and Nathaniel Geiger (trombones). The epic, 88-minute score plays the narrative like “The Maltese Falcon,” as the zany, slapstick, hallucinatory journey stumbles ever onwards. Looking very forward to sharing this film with live audiences at this and the Chandler (AZ) Film Festival, this spring!
